Organization Performance Pro.file (OPP)

OPP (Organization Performance Pro.file) is a validated instrument designed to measure the seven most important career- and work-related characteristics in adults. Individuals can complete an OPP Survey in approximately 10 minutes using either an on-line or paper format. A sophisticated software analysis provides graphical & text reports describing an employee's or applicant's Basic Characteristics and Job Adaptation behaviors.

The seven key traits and behaviors measured include:

  • Assertiveness: An individual's need to exercise control in his/her environment. A high need to control would be very assertive; a low need to control would be accommodating.
  • Sociability: An individual's need to build relationships and communicate with others. A high Sociability need would cause a person to be more outgoing; a lower need to socialize would cause a person to be more reserved.
  • Pace: Identifies an individual's patience or impatience. A higher level of Proactiveness would cause an individual to be more multi-tasked; a lower level of Proactiveness would cause an individual to be more patient & methodical.
  • Detail The degree to which an individual is motivated by structure in his/her environment. A higher Detail Orientation causes an individual to be more careful & thorough; a lower level of Detail Orientation causes an individual to be more flexible and casual with detail.
  • Behavioral Adaptability: The degree to which an individual can adapt or modify his/her behaviors for different people & different situations.
  • Emotiveness: The ability of an individual to demonstrate a sensitive, empathetic approach to others, or a more logical, rational & controlled approach to others.
  • Creativity: An individual's ability to bring "original thinking" to a discussion, problem solving, or a selling situation. Individuals can have a more conservative, innovative, or creative orientation.

An individual's response to the OPP Survey is software-analyzed and produces two sets of results: a pair of graphs labeled Basic Characteristics (a combination of the seven traits that form a "profile") and Job Adaptation (the individual's perception of his/her current role or position); and a text report that provides descriptions in such areas as Basic Characteristics, Motivational Considerations, Job Adaptation, Interviewing Questions, Coaching Guidance, and Personal & Career Development.
